| Thalwil Strandbad 2 on a sunny day |
The story of my experiences of living in Switzerland during the Covid-19 virus. It contains links to pages featuring the artwork I have done during this period, especially my watercolours, some of which I have made into cards for sale. This is still very much a work in progress!

Monday 22 June 2020, Another Week in Lockdown
Living in Switzerland has many plusses. The plan for lockdown and recovery was straightforward and consistent. First to be allowed to open again were the hairdressers! I had an appointment during the first week my hairdresser reopened. She also gave me a mask. It was a relief to get my 'old' colour back after the white patches were starting to show. For facilitating this priority, I am grateful to the fact that the Swiss President is currently a woman!
Next we discovered that the cross-lake boat service from Thalwil to Kusnacht was operating, and we took our seats on an empty boat across the Zurisee and enjoyed a beer and shared some 'pommes' at the Sonne. Restaurants have reduced the number of tables by half to enable social distancing. The Thalwil Strandbad with its lake bathing and bar, has also reopened. No guarantee of sunny weather, and with a water temperature of 18C, it may not be popular with everyone, but we enjoyed a swim out to the buoy and back. We have now bought season tickets. Sadly the weather has got cooler!
